5. This is the Arizona Memorial.
The attack on Pearl Harbour by the Japanese on Dec 7, 1941 killed 2,390 soldiers, destroyed 18 battleships and 200 aircraft. Under us, there are over a 1000 people who lost their lives when the Arizona suffered a direct hit.

John Ward is an accomplished photographer living in Burlington Ontario. He and Eleanor travel often and the various bolgs you are viewing represent some of his best photographs. John's previous experience has been in commercial, portrait and wedding photography as well as black and white developing and printing. In the 1970's John also contributed "Village People" to the Bloor West Villager, a monthly newspaper in Toronto. John is a current member of the Latow Photographers' Guild.
